A leading Canadian technology supplier and service provider in the paper handling, mailing, printing, bindery, and packaging industries, is looking for a Field Service Technician.
Summary of main responsibilities:
- Provide service and customer support during field visits.
- Manage all on-site installation processes, repairs and maintenance.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Correctly instruct customers on proper care, training and maintenance.
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.
- Offer and promote potential products and services that are available to customers.
- Maintain up-to-date job knowledge through completion of ongoing training opportunities, satisfactory skills assessment, and attainment of job related certifications.

- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
- Technical degree or certification.
- Experience in the packaging industry and installation process an asset.
- If needed, must be willing to work nights, weekends and variable schedules.
- Travel may be required from time to time.
- Proven field service experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment.
- Familiarity with paper handling equipment/applications/environment.
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn new skills.
- Electronics and mechanical competency.
- Own vehicle, valid driver's license.
Compensation: $45,000.00-$80,000.00 per year plus bonus and overtime pay
