Description

New Business Development

Reporting to the Managing Director and under the guidance and leadership of the Managing Director, the position of New Business Development is  responsible for:

  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to enhance the customer   experience both external and internal
  • Discovers and explores business opportunities within the agency and with other team members
  • Locates potential business deals by contacting identified companies with a structured follow-up process
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements and financials (standardize a qualification process)
  • Understands the communication needs of clients/customers, and designs        solutions to meet those unique business needs
  • Designs, develops, and delivers proposals and presentations on product                    design & benefits with input from team members
  • Self-generates leads by contacting current clients by telephone, premise visits networking, and industry events
  • Maintains all client databases necessary to report sales activity and customer information through the development and implementation of a CRM tool
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing, and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements with business operations (Scope of work development and communication with all key stakeholders)
  • Weekly / Monthly review of all business activity, growth, and progress – relative to established sales targets
  • Attends all sales/company meetings and training sessions as required by

Expectations

  • Identifies low hanging opportunities within the marketplace to connect and present
  • Reviews established contact base to introduce our agency and our branding and design consultation services
  • Actively seeks out clientele to build the Agency business both new and  organic
  • Aids in building exposure for the agency and associated companies
  • As part of process manages the initial assignment with a new client – then  turn over to Account Management at the appropriate time that best meets the client requirements
  • Updates and meets sales targets as outlined and manages New Business sales funnel

  • Networking and communication skills
  • Verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently and effectively to meet required deadlines
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply that knowledge
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Previous agency experience is an asset or working knowledge of client business environments
