Position Overview

A self-motivated professional with experience with Visual Solutions and a passion for production and operations management. Skills must include but are not limited to, knowledge of a manufacturing and production supplier base, estimating, purchasing and production coordinating at various levels within several traditional print mediums, fleet graphics or custom displays organizations. The candidate should have a proven track record of improving production, process, and quality controls. This individual must carry a strong manufacturing background and should have the ability to develop and implement procedures that increase productivity and efficiency in the manufacturing process and be able to cope well under pressure within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is an effective communicator at all levels of an organization who possesses strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, decision-making, and team building skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to interpret project specifications and prepare a proper scope of work and estimates
  • Ability to analyze scope and define best print methods along with material suggestions
  • Background and/or familiarity with print production, finishing, and installation processes
  • Ensure materials, equipment, and processes are accounted for on a per project basis
  • Oversee and handle all substrates, materials and mock-ups for each project, including material and swatch samples
  • Liaise between multiple vendors from design agencies to manufacturers and installers to ensure a seamless process from planning and development to implementation
  • Liaise with installers and sub-trades to train on project requirements and ensure they understand project specific details, and ensure they arrive on site as scheduled
  • Proper management and documentation for full project production and delivery and/or installations
  • Facilitate smooth and timely planning while juggling the production and completion of multiple customer projects simultaneously
  • Create critical path documents and track and manage production job flow and ensure on-time delivery of projects
  • Development and maintenance of budgets for assigned projects – including design, print, fabrication, install, and other
  • Manage client dockets with proper documentation in an organized fashion – included building estimates, purchase orders, and all paperwork associated with job docket
  • Ensure flawless execution on each project from conception through to delivery, managing quality control every step of the way
  • Develop and manage vendor workflow processes and relationships
  • Continually source and explore different methods/suppliers of different formats and products to exceed client expectations
  • Implement a quality assurance system to minimize any potential challenges
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as required by the General Manager and Managing Director

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel, Adobe CS software, including InDesign and other design programs
  • Solid understanding of design principles and a keen eye for attention to details
  • Minimum of 5 years retail print and/or manufacturing production experience – supplier based preferred
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Well organized and a multi-tasked oriented professional with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Ability to be a team player, motivate, and inspire
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and use time effectively to set action plans to achieve business targets
