Toronto, ON, March 18, 2024 – Today, strategic consulting firm, Connecting for Results (CFR), is pleased to announce the sale of Maracle Press Limited to Michael Hothi, owner of Ottawa-based Trico Packaging and Print Solutions, and Toronto-based Canadian Printing Resources, effective March 15, 2024. CFR was engaged by Maracle to find a buyer that would continue to provide excellent service for current customers while growing the business utilizing the company’s experienced team and unique capabilities.

With the help of CFR’s mergers and acquisitions team, Maracle’s century-long success in creation and design, print and finishing, publishing, and fulfillment will be enhanced by Michael Hothi’s future plans.

“CFR introduced us to Michael Hothi. We are pleased that his business plans aligned with ours for mutually beneficial business arrangements for our customers, valued team members, and shareholders,” said George Sittlinger, Chairman, Maracle.

“The addition of Maracle is a good strategic fit with my other companies. We are excited about expanding our services to a larger customer base and look forward to supporting our customer’s needs for many years to come,” said Michael Hothi.

“In today’s challenging market, it’s rewarding to work with two professional companies who are focused on the key priorities – meeting customer needs and supporting team members who provide excellent service. We thank George and Michael for undergoing this process to reach a mutually successful deal,” said Gord Griffiths, CEO & President, Connecting for Results.

“The transaction is one that benefits both parties, providing success for years to come,” said Mike Suter, Head of Mergers & Acquisitions, Connecting for Results.

With a strategic focus on growth and innovation, Michael Hothi has successfully expanded his print portfolio through targeted acquisitions, having acquired Canadian Printing Resources, brokered by Connecting for Results, and Ottawa/Gatineau companies, Ottawa Lettershop Services, Rideau Mailing, and select assets of Imprimerie Vincent in 2023, as well as Marquardt Printing and Sotek Graphics in 2022.
