Nick Cannon has joined Connecting for Results, bringing more than 35 years of printing industry experience to CFR’s work with print, packaging, and graphic communications companies. His background adds practical operating strength to CFR’s consulting platform, especially for businesses working through performance issues, leadership gaps, consolidation decisions, or day-to-day execution challenges that affect service, cost, and profitability.

Nick Cannon is a plain-spoken operations leader who helps companies run safer, steadier plants and make decisions that hold up on the production floor and in the P&L. His approach is grounded in real-world leadership experience across complex operations, and his work focuses on helping management teams move from reacting to problems toward building repeatable systems and stronger accountability.

What Nick Brings to CFR Clients

Clients that work with Nick benefit from a perspective shaped by decades of plant, regional, and senior executive leadership. He understands what happens when margins tighten, when labor is hard to stabilize, and when operating problems start to affect customer confidence. He helps leaders identify what is getting in the way, prioritize the right issues, and build plans that can actually be carried out by managers and operators.

  • Operational improvement: Nick helps businesses strengthen performance through better structure, clearer priorities, and tighter day-to-day execution.
  • Safety and culture: He brings a practical focus to safety results, plant discipline, and leadership behavior that supports a healthier operating environment.
  • Decision support: He helps clients make sound choices about procurement, staffing, capital investment, consolidation, and performance management.

Deep Experience in Print Operations

Nick spent 19 years at TC Transcontinental, including senior leadership roles with responsibility for operations across Ontario and Western Canada. In that capacity, he shared accountability for more than $1 billion in revenues and 2,500 employees across 12 business units. Earlier in his career, he managed multiple operating units in Western Canada and led a consolidation from six sites into four while maintaining strong customer retention and significantly reducing headcount through the transition.

At the plant level, Nick has rebuilt management teams, addressed safety and culture issues on the shop floor, and improved EBITDA performance over time. He also led 5S and Lean certification work in a large facility to support better safety, efficiency, and quality. After leaving Transcontinental in 2023, he applied his manufacturing experience in a 12-month operating and leadership development project with Ply Gem business units in Calgary.

Why This Matters for CFR

Nick’s addition strengthens CFR’s ability to support companies that need more than high-level advice. His experience fits naturally with CFR’s Strategic Business Consulting work, where practical execution matters just as much as strategy. He also adds valuable operating insight to assignments involving mergers and acquisitions, integration planning, and leadership team development.

For companies in print and packaging, results depend on decisions that work in the real world. Nick Cannon brings the kind of experience that helps turn plans into action and action into measurable improvement.

If your business is working through a turnaround, a multi-site consolidation, or a safety and performance reset, CFR can help.  https://connectingforresults.com/contact/
